New Visions Academy of Baltimore employs experienced, credentialed and tenured staff, including our School Director, Education Director, Clinical Director, Administrative Coordinator, Academic Coordinator, certified special education teachers (including a reading specialist), vocational trainers, assistant teachers, transition coordinators, licensed social workers, behavior intervention specialists and a school nurse.
School Director: Yolanda H. Brown
The School Director is the Administrative Head, responsible for programmatic leadership and daily oversight. Ms. Brown is responsible for monitoring program quality and reporting outcomes to determine program effectiveness. Ms. Brown also acts as the primary liaison to all outside agencies to facilitate additional therapies and support services for students. As School Director, she is also responsible for maintaining program compliance in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) for the Maryland State Department of Education and the District of Columbia Public School System.
Education Director: Allen D. Brown, Jr. M.Ed
As the Director of Education, Mr. Brown is responsible for the implementation of the educational program and the supervision of all faculty. He establishes a working relationship with all LEAs to ensure that each student’s IEP is implemented in accordance with COMAR regulations, which includes but is not limited to the development of behavior intervention plans and functional behavior assessments.
Clinical Director: Donnell N. Phillips, LCSW-C
Mrs. Phillips serves as the Clinical Director and is responsible for completion of all related services specified in the Individual Education Program for each student, as well as supervising all clinical therapists, behavior specialists, speech/language pathologists, consulting psychiatrists and psychologists, and all other related service providers.
